Mitsubishi Eclipse

The Mitsubishi Eclipse is a coupe that has been in production since 1989 for right hand drive markets. It was named after an 18th century English racehorse which won 26 races,^[1] and has also been sold as the Eagle Talon and the Plymouth Laser captive imports through Mitsubishi Motors’ close relationship with the Chrysler Corporation. Their partnership was known as Diamond-Star Motors, or DSM, and the vehicle trio through the close of the second-generation line were sometimes referred to by the DSM moniker among enthusiast circles.

As of 2009, the Eclipse is officially available in North America, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, China, South Korea, the Philippines, and Brazil. On January 20, 2011, Mitsubishi announced its “Jump 2013” plan, which will see all U.S. built models, including the Eclipse, phased out by 2014.

Mitsubhisi i

The Mitsubishi i is a kei car from Japanese automaker Mitsubishi Motors, first released in January 2006, twenty eight months after its debut at the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show. It is the first four door automobile since the 1960s to employ a “rear midship” setup with the engine behind the passengers, in an attempt to improve safety and interior space without enlarging the overall exterior.

The innovative layout and styling of the i proved an immediate critical and commercial success, exceeding Mitsubishi’s initial sales targets by 20 percent and winning thirteen awards in its first year. Although designed with the Japanese keijidōsha light automobile class in mind, the attention it generated led to its subsequent introduction in right hand drive markets in Asia, Oceania and Europe. It is also used as a basis of the 2009 i-MiEV battery electric vehicle.

Aston Martin One-77

Based on a sophisticated carbon-fibre One-77 chassis with a hand-crafted aluminium body, this 7.3 litre V12 supercar will deliver exhilarating performance for a strictly limited number of discerning customers.

Prior to the One-77’s Paris Motor Show debut, various details about the car had been leaked, but official specifications were not fully revealed until the 2009 Geneva Auto Show. The One-77 will feature a full carbon fibre monocoque chassis, a handcrafted aluminium body, and a naturally aspirated 7.3 litre V12 engine with 750 hp (560 kW).

Aston Martin Cygnet

Cygnet is a luxury microcar manufactured by Aston Martin and derived from the Toyota IQ. Its purpose is to allow Aston Martin to comply with the European Union’s fleet average emissions standards to take place in 2012.

The Cygnet will be available initially only in the UK, and then to other EU countries. Production and sales commenced in January 2011 and the market coverage will expand by 2012. Sales will not be restricted; however, it is expected that demand from existing Aston Martin owners for Cygnet would initially take priority. Aston CEO Ulrich Bez recently announced shipping expectations of about 4000 per year at a price of about £30,000. Bez states that the Cygnet demonstrates the company’s commitment to innovation and integrity, whist respecting the need to satisfy demands of emissions and space.
